Why Should I run E85
in My ’99-’06 GM Truck?
Fuel Economy- In a comparison of E85 to running regular gasoline, our test results have shown a 10% loss in fuel economy on the highway, and about a 15% loss in around town driving. Customers can look at this as they need to fill up more often, although the cost per mile will decrease as the gasoline price is generally 20-25 percent higher per gallon. OEM vehicles see about a 20-28 percent loss in economy when running E85, this is where our programming and experience comes in.
Power Gains- With our flex fuel programming, customers will notice an INCREASE in horsepower and torque. Our programming is designed to give max performance with no drivability issues or worries about running the “ragged edge.” Customers can simply pull up to the pump and fill with either fuel blend. Typical gains are as follows:
5.3L GM- 12-15 HP gains at wide open throttle and 14-18 ft lbs of torque
6.0L GM- 20-25 HP and 25-32 ft lbs of torque
8.1L GM- 25-30 HP and 30 plus ft lbs of torque
Drivability- GM programming uses throttle limiters and other components that cause the driver to feel a “dead pedal.” With our programming many of these dead spots are eliminated and drivability is greatly enhanced.
Transmission functions- Transmission shifts are firmed up slightly from 35-100 percent throttle and a positive shift pattern is utilized. The shift pattern is firmer but not harsh or unsafe.
Piece of mind- When the customer can go to the local gas station, fill with fuel, and drive away knowing they are supporting his neighbor and local farmers- they know the money spent is being invested right back in the home community. E85 is a cleaner burning fuel and emits significantly less harmful emissions compared to gasoline.
What is this going to cost?
The cost for the conversion will be $320. This includes return shipping to you via next day. This is cost is significantly less than another other "flex-fuel" product available and is BY FAR superior. We offer the ONLY product on the market that will EFFICIENTLY use E85 in your vehicle.
